Pretreatment of resin

The industrial products of ion exchange resins often contain small amounts of organic oligomers and some inorganic impurities. It will gradually dissolve and release in the early stage of use, affecting the effluent quality or product quality. Therefore, the new resin must be pretreated before use, the specific method is as follows:

1. After the resin is loaded into the exchanger, the resin layer is backwashed with clean water, the expansion rate is 50 ~ 70%, until the effluent is clear, odorless, and fine resin.

2. Use 4 to 5% HCl solution with about 2 times of resin volume to pass through the resin layer at a flow rate of 2 m / h. After all the inlet, soak for 4 ~ 8 hours, drain the acid, rinse with clean water until the effluent is neutral, and the flow rate is 10 ~ 20 m / h.

3. Use approximately 2 times the volume of the resin 2 to 5% NaOH solution, as described above into the HCl solution into and soak. Drain the lye, rinse with clean water until the effluent is neutral, and the flushing flow rate is the same as above.

If the acid and alkali solution can be repeated 2 to 3 times, the effect is better.
After the pretreatment of the resin, the amount of regenerant should be appropriately increased when it is put into operation for the first time to ensure that the resin is fully regenerated. (The regeneration method is step 1.3 of the pretreatment method)
