Description
Sodium citrate: C6H5Na3O7 2H2O, 294.10, this product is 2 - hydroxy propane - 1,2,3 - three carboxylic acid two sodium hydrate. According to the calculation of dry goods, including C6H5Na3O7 shall not be less than 99%. Properties: colorless crystal or white crystalline powder; odorless, salty and cold; slight deliquescence in moist air, with weathering resistance in hot air. This product is soluble in water, insoluble in ethanol. Category: anti clotting drugs. Use: for the preservation in vitro of blood; and the use of Sodium Citrate Injection For Transfusion in disposable blood bag. Can also be used to adjust the pH value of granules, syrup and other oral preparations. Storage: seal preservation. Specification: 25kg / bag (barrel) 500g / bottle. Product quality: the implementation of the standard for the Chinese Pharmacopoeia 2005 edition.

Sodium citrate dihydrate is the dihydrate of trisodium citrate. It has a role as an anticoagulant. It contains a sodium citrate.|Sodium salts of citric acid that are used as buffers and food preservatives. They are used medically as anticoagulants in stored blood, and for urine alkalization in the prevention of KIDNEY STONES.
It is colorless crystals or white crystalline powder, and is odorless, cool and salty. It has no melting point with a relative density of 1.857. It is stable in air at room temperature with loss of crystal water when being heated to 150 °C loss of crystal water; further heating will cause its decomposition. It is insoluble in ethanol but highly soluble in water. 5% aqueous solution has a pH value of 7.6 to 8.6. Rats by intraperitoneal injection: LD50: 1549 mg/kg; ADI without any special provisions (FAOWHO, 1994).
