Used as a spin marker for studying biological compounds and polymers; spin labeling reagents are used to identify the antagonist and agonist binding sites of NK1 receptors, and can also be used for electron spin resonance spectroscopy to determine reactive oxygen species in the myocardium TEMPOL can protect cells overexpressing CYP2E1 from the toxic damage of arachidonic acid; used in Chemicalbook to prepare fluorine-labeled TEMPO by derivatizing TEMPO propynyl ether and subsequent "click" reaction with fluoroazide Derivatives; used as high-efficiency catalysts in the oxidation of alcohols with bleaching agents. Used to prevent self-polymerization of olefin monomers during production, separation, refining, storage or transportation, and to control and adjust the degree of polymerization of olefins and their derivatives
