This product can be used for type Ⅱa hyperlipidemia and hypercholesterolemia. This product reduces plasma total cholesterol and low-density lipoprotein concentrations, but has no effect on serum triglyceride concentrations or slightly increases them. Therefore, it is ineffective for those with elevated triglycerides alone. This product can also be used for itching caused by incomplete bile duct obstruction.

1. Cause fat malabsorption, appropriate supplementation of vitamin A, D, K and calcium salts. Abdominal or stomach upset, vomiting, constipation, diarrhea in individual cases, loss of appetite, abdominal distension, muscle cramps in case of overdose.
2. Digestive system: About 50% of patients who use this drug complain of mild or moderate constipation, and even fecal impaction, especially in the elderly. Hence the need for laxatives. Many also complained of loss of appetite, vomiting, bloating, heartburn, muscle cramps, and occasional diarrhea. When the dose is higher than the usual dose of 10 ~ 16g3, it will cause steatorrhea. Pancreatitis has occasionally been reported.
4. Hypochloremic acidosis can occur in young children, but this phenomenon does not seem to occur in adults.
5. It interferes with the absorption of vitamin D, which can cause a certain degree of osteoporosis or osteomalacia. Attention should be paid to the elderly.
6. Itching and rash may occur.
