This compound belongs to the category of diamines, whose molecular structure contains two amino (-NH₂) groups, which are located at the junction site of two cyclohexane groups. DDCM usually appears as a colorless or yellowish solid form under normal conditions. 4, 4 '- Diaminodicyclohexylmethane is a kind of excellent thermal stability and chemical stability of the compound. The diamino functional group in its molecular structure gives it important applications in polymer chemistry and materials science, especially in epoxy resin curing agents. DDCM can react with the epoxy resin to form a cross-linked structure, which significantly improves the mechanical strength, heat and chemical resistance of the resin. In addition, due to its excellent adhesion properties, DDCM is also widely used in coatings and sealants, helping to improve the overall performance of these materials.
