Application: Zinc Borate is a good flowing, readily dispersible, high whiteness powder, which does not detract from bright colors and pure whites. ZB is mainly used as fire retardant, biocide/fungicide and anti corrosion.

ZB is mainly dispersed into wood, wood plastics composites (WPC), coating systems (in-can preservative and dry film fungicide), plastics and rubber as a corrosion inhibitor and biocide. So, it is incorporated during the pigment dispersion cycle in the coating preparation process.

ZB80 has big particle size, so this grade has good flowability, and it has high purity and thermal stability.

ZB40 has smaller particle size that keeps the property on high purity and thermal stability, and own better distribution in the material system.

In rigid PVC, ZB can be used solely to get excellent fire retardant performance.

In flexible PVC, PP, Epoxy, rubber etc polymers, ZB is one good synergistic fire retardant with Antimony Oxide, Al(OH)3, Mg(OH)3, or Bromine fire retardants to improve fire retardant performance, it has excellent functions as smoke suppressant, char promotion and adjust the balance of flame retardant properties versus mechanical, electrical and other properties.

Normal dose in polymer as fire retardant is 1‐10phr.
