It is incompatible with oxidizing agents; on hazardous decomposition, p-arsanilic acid produces nitrogen oxides, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, nitrogen gas, and oxides of arsenic.
Arsanilic acid is an organoarsonic acid. It is a conjugate acid of an arsanilate(1-).|Arsanilic Acid is an organoarsenic compound with activity as an anti-infective agent. As a feed additive, arsanilic acid improves weight gain in farm-raised animals, but its use as a growth promoter is banned in many countries.|An arsenical which has been used as a feed additive for enteric conditions in pigs and poultry.
