Studies show that Chrysin is central benzodiazepine receptor ligand wit h possible anxiolytic effects. Chrysin was initially believed to have aromatase inhibitor but recent in vivo studies have disproved that.

It is a dihydroxyflavone and a 7-hydroxyflavonol.
