Aideibant is a selective competitive antagonist of bradykinin B2 receptor with similar affinity to bradykinin. Hereditary angioedema is caused by deficiency or dysfunction of C1-esterase inhibitors, bradykinin is a vasodilator thought to be responsible for localized swelling, Chemicalbook inflammation, and pain characteristic of HAE. Etiabant is used to treat the clinical symptoms of acute episodes of HAE by inhibiting bradykinin binding to B2 receptor. In addition to this, he has potential therapeutic indications such as asthma, cirrhosis and other types of angioedema.
