It can be used as food and pharmaceutical fungicide, with strong antibacterial activity and wide antibacterial spectrum, it can be used for the preservation of meat products, dairy products, beer, soy sauce and so on, and also can be used for the preservation of fruits such as oranges, peaches, lychees and so on. Glycerol monolaurate can form complexes with starch and protein and reduce the antibacterial effect, almost ineffective against gram-negative bacteria, and other bactericides such as potassium sorbate and other compounding effect is very good, so it is used in composite formulas as emulsifiers, emulsifiers, stabilizers and preservatives. Used in food processing as bread softener, defoamer of soybean products, emulsifier and stabilizer in dairy products, margarine, pastry, general dosage of 3% to 5%; as soy sauce, soy milk and lactic acid beverage defoamer dosage of 1%; also used in the preparation of cosmetic creams, creams and emulsions, as a suppository base in the pharmaceutical industry and drug carriers, and so on. It can be used as emulsifier, co-emulsifier, stabilizer and preservative. It can be used as emulsifier of industrial silk oil and lubricant of textile; used as dripping agent and anti-fogging agent in plastic film; used as lubricant and anti-static agent in plastic processing; used as suppository base agent and drug carrier in pharmaceutical industry. It is also used to formulate cosmetic paste, cream and emulsion. Dairy products, margarine, pastry reference dosage of 3% ~ 5%; soy sauce, soy milk and lactic acid beverage defoamer dosage of 1% for daily-use chemical products.
