Product Description: Tocapone is a catechol O-methyltransferase inhibitor that can be used as an adjuvant therapy for primary Parkinson's disease receiving a combination of levodopa and cabidopa. Product use: Tocapone is a selective catechol O-methyltransferase (COMT) inhibitor that acts both inside and outside the brain. It can block the conversion of levodopa to 3-O-methyldopamine outside the brain, increasing the bioavailability of levodopa without increasing the blood concentration of the drug. This allows more levodopa to enter the central nervous system through the blood cerebrospinal fluid barrier and then transform into dopamine, improving exhaustion; At the same time, there are no adverse reactions that increase the peak dose.
