CAS number: 9004-66-4

Significant Ingredients: Each ml contains 100 mg of elemental iron stabilized with a low molecular weight hydrogenated dextran and 0.5% phenol.

Potential health Effects

Appearance: Dark brown colloidal crystalloid solution, phenol in flavor 

The toxicological properties of this material have not been fully investigated. Intravenous LD50 in mice - 2.24 g Fe/kg

4. First aid measures

Eyes: Flush with a large amount of water. If irritation develops get immediate medical attention. 

Skin: Thoroughly wash exposed areas with soap and water. Remove contaminated clothing and launder before reusing. If irritation persists get medical attention.

Inhalation: Remove patient to uncontaminated area and provide fresh air. Give oxygen if necessary; if not breathing give artificial respiration. Get immediate medical attention.

Ingestion: Rinse mouth with water. Induce vomiting. Feed eggs and milk. Get immediate

medical attention.

5.Fire fighting measures

Suitable extinguisher agents：Use extinguishing media appropriate for surrounding fire, preferably water spray, dry chemical or carbon dioxide. 

Special fire-fighting procedures: Isolate hazard and evacuate personnel to safe area. Move containers away from area of fire if it can be done without risk. Use water spray to cool fire-exposed containers and surrounding structures. Fire fighters should wear self-contained breathing apparatus and protective clothing.

Unusual fire and explosion hazards: May yield flammable vapors when heated which can form explosive mixtures with air.

Person- related safety precautions: Wear self-contaminated breathing apparatus, rubber boot and heavy rubber gloves.

Measures for environmental protection: Prevent spillage from spreading or entering waterways and underground drains.

On completion of clean-up scrub area with detergent and rinse with water.Do not smoke, eat or drink during clean-up operations. Wear rubber or PVC boot, gloves, goggles and half-face respirator for clean up operations.

Personal protective equipment

Ventilation: Product is not acutely toxic however repeated minor exposure may cause allergic disorders. Avoid contact with eyes, skin or clothing. Ensure adequate ventilation during use, do not inhale spray dust.

Eye protection: Chemical goggles or face shield.

Skill protection: When preparing stock feeds or premixes wear overalls buttoned to the neck and wrist, boots, rubber gloves, washable hat, safety goggles and a half face respirator with dust cartridge of a dust mask.

General advice: After use and before eating, drinking and smoking, wash hands, arms and face thoroughly with soap and water. After each day’s use, wash or replace gloves, dust mask and contaminated clothing.
