Maleic anhydride

It is mainly used as raw material for the production of unsaturated polyester resin, alkyd resin, pesticide malathion, high efficiency and low toxicity pesticide 4049, long-acting iodomide and so on.

Colorless orthogonal acicular crystal or white crystalline powder. Soluble in water, acetone, benzene, chloroform and other organic solvents. Solubility (gllOOg) at 25℃ in the following solvents: acetone 227, ethyl acetate 112, chloroform 52.5 I benzene 50 I toluene 23.4; O-xylene 19.4; Carbon tetrachloride 0.60; Petroleum ether 0.25. Dissolve in alcohol to form esters. Dissolved in dioxane. Sublimation by heat. Risk of burning in high heat, open flame or contact with oxidants. It's corrosive. It is slowly hydrolyzed in cold water to produce maleic acid. Contact with strong oxidants can cause combustion and explosion. If the temperature exceeds 66℃, the polymerization reaction will occur in contact with amines or alkali metals.

Transportation precautions: The packaging should be complete and the loading should be secure. During transportation, it is necessary to ensure that the container does not leak, collapse, fall or damage. It is strictly prohibited to mix with oxidants, reducing agents, acids, food chemicals, etc. During transportation, it should be protected from sunlight, rain and high temperature.
Storage precautions: Store in a cool, dry and well-ventilated warehouse. Keep away from fire and heat. Keep the container sealed. It should be stored separately from oxidants, reducing agents, acids and edible chemicals, and should not be mixed. Equipped with the corresponding variety and quantity of fire equipment.
