Physical and chemical properties: 
White acicular crystal or crystalline powder, non-toxic, but can stimulate the eyes, respiratory system and skin contact. Soluble in water, slightly soluble in ethanol, heat decomposition, can burn.

Uses: 
Used as analytical reagent, organic synthesis, dyeing and pharmaceutical industry, or as food stabilizer, chelating agent, mildew inhibitor, buffer, flavor enhancer, corrosion inhibitor. Used as mildew inhibitor, stabilizer, buffer and flavoring agent. Calcium acetate is also a good food calcium enhancer, absorption effect is better than inorganic calcium. It can be used in infant food, the dosage is 3.0 ~ 6.0 g/kg, and 1.6 ~ 3.2 g/kg in cereal and its products. Used in chemical analysis, synthesis of acetate, preparation of acetic acid and acetone, food stabilizer, corrosion inhibitor. Also used in the pharmaceutical industry.
