1-Amino-2-cyano-1-cyclopentene, also called 2-Amino-1-cyclopentene-1-carbonitrile, the CAS number is: 2941-23-3, which is a colorless liquid with a pungent odor similar to ammonia. It is volatile at room temperature and soluble in many organic solvents, such as ethanol, ether and alkanes.

Preparation:

The preparation method of 1-amino-2-cyano-1-cyclopentene is mainly obtained by chemical synthesis. One common method is to react cyclohexene and hydrogen cyanide in the presence of a catalyst to produce 1-amino-2-cyano-1-cyclopentene.
