What is p-(phenylthio)benzyl alcohol?

It is a quinolone antibacterial drug developed by Spain's FerrerInternacional Co., LTD. It was purchased by American Medimetriks Pharmaceutical Company and obtained the exclusive commercialization rights in the United States. In September 2015, it was approved by Japan's Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare, becoming the first new molecular entity approved in the world. It was approved by the FDA on December 11, 2017. Ozefloxacin acts by inhibiting bacterial DNA replicase, DNA cyclase A and topoisomerase IV.
