What is Polymyxin E/Colistin Sulfate/Colistin Sulphate ?

Colistin sulfate, white or near-white powder, odorless, bitter and hygroscopic, soluble in water, slightly soluble in ethanol, etc., free base slightly soluble in water. Stable in the range of PH3-7.5. Colistin sulfate is produced by polymyxa, and has strong antibacterial activity against Gram-negative bacteria, and is used for intestinal diseases caused by Gram-negative bacteria.
