Detailed introduction

Lipoic acid is an excellent natural antioxidant ingredient with free radical scavenging efficacy, its ability to scavenge free radicals is more than one hundred times that of vitamin C, which is especially suitable for anti-aging products; it has the efficacy of chelating metal ions and can bind copper ions in tyrosinase, which is a competitive inhibitor of tyrosinase and has good whitening efficacy. However, lipoic acid suffers from low solubility, poor stability and significant odor, which limits its application in cosmetics.

BeriCos® ALA-Nano is a solution to the problem of lipoic acid application by applying supramolecular encapsulation technology with good solubility, high utilization, masking bad odor and reducing irritation. By using supramolecular encapsulation technology, hydroxypropyl cyclodextrin is used to encapsulate lipoic acid, which does not change the chemical structure and properties of azelaic acid, but also greatly improves its water solubility, solubility up to 20% (25℃), high bioavailability, and reduces irritation, which is more suitable for use in skin medications, cosmetics and care products.
