    Description

    2-Dodecen-1-ylsuccinic anhydride, used as an epoxy curing agent, enhances epoxy resins by boosting waterproofing and toughness. 


    Its wide-ranging applications include sealing electronic components for longer lifespans, improving bond strength, toughness, electrical resistance, and corrosion resistance.


    In corrosion inhibition, Dodecenyl succinic anhydride and its hydrolysis product, Dodecenyl succinic acid and its derivatives, are effective in water and hydrocarbon media. 


    For example, in gasoline and diesel, Dodecenyl succinic anhydride J12 absorbs moisture, acting as a corrosion inhibitor when the resulting acid forms. 


    Adding a small amount of 2-Dodecen-1-ylsuccinic anhydride to mineral lubricating oil prevents pitting and green deposits on leaded copper bearings, while also improving lubrication, flash point, and reducing friction in the oil.
