What is  Selamectin ?

01.Seramectin (also known as seramectin) is produced by the fermentation of a new strain of Streptomyces aviviae genetically reprogrammed, developed by P in the United States, by chemically synthesizing structural modifications to Dolamectin.

02.The mechanism of action of seramectin is the same as that of other abamectin drugs. On the one hand, seramectin can act as an agonist of GABA to trigger the release of presynaptic GABA, thus causing the increase of membrane permeability to Cl¯; on the other hand, the drug can open the chloride ion channels controlled by glutamate, resulting in the increase of Cl¯ permeability leading to membrane potential hyperpolarization.

03.Thus blocking the transmission of nerve signals, causing rapid, fatal and non-chemicalbook spastic neuromuscular paralysis and death. Since flukes and tapeworms do not have GABA neurotransmitter and glutamate-controlled Cl¯ channels, these drugs have no repellent effect on them.

04.The drug binding site of invertebrates is in peripheral tissues, while the drug binding site of mammals is in the central nervous system. Due to the effect of the blood-brain barrier, such drugs rarely enter the brain tissue, so such drugs are safe for most mammals.
