What is Welan Gum ?
Welan Gum is a soluble exopolysaccharide produced by aerobic fermentation of carbohydrate by alcaligenes. It is a heteropolysaccharide composed of glucose, mannitol, rhamnoose and glucuronic acid. It can be used as thickening agent, suspension agent and heat stabilizer, showing excellent pseudoplastic fluid with outstanding high temperature resistance.
WELAN GUM biopolyer is a high efficiency, pseudoplastic viscosifier and suspension agent used in water based drilling, workover and completion fluids. Welan gum is also used in hydraulic fracturing fluids and cementing grouts, foundary coating, pigment suspensions, cement or concrete viscosifier, tire sealant and paint thickeners.
