2. Main uses: used in industry as a flame retardant, flux, and ignition agent, as a moderator in nuclear reactors, as an absorber in vacuum tubes, and also in metal ceramic seals. It is a strong reducing agent. Used as an additive. Deoxidizer and desulfurizer used in the preparation of ferroalloys. Mixed with calcium carbide and nitrides, it can be used as a metal coating. Because it can infiltrate ceramics, it is used as a metal ceramic adhesive for vacuum tubes and ceramic devices. In addition, it is used as a neutron moderator and other materials for atomic power plants, as a vacuum tube absorber, flame retardant, flux, etc.
