Cordyceps sinensis is a unique Chinese herbal medicine, which is listed as three major supplements alongside ginseng and deer antler, and is recorded in ancient Chinese medicine classics.
Cordyceps sinensis is a traditional Chinese medicine. It is the complex of the ovary and larval body of Cordyceps sinensis (BerK.) Sacc, a fungus of the Cordyceps genus in the ergot family, parasitized on the larvae of the Batmoth family. It has the effects of tonifying the kidney and benefiting the lungs, stopping bleeding and resolving phlegm. Indications: Pain in the waist and knees, prolonged cough, deficiency of asthma, and cough, phlegm, and blood.
