Description

White or almost white powder. Aluminum orthophosphate is a white crystalline solid which is often used in liquid or gel form Aluminum phosphate adjuvant is a white hydrogel that sediments slowly and forms a clear supernatant.

Aluminum phosphate adjuvant is stable for at least 2 years when stored at 4–308℃ in well-sealed inert containers. It must not be allowed to freeze as the hydrated colloid structure will be irreversibly damaged.

An acid. The resulting aqueous solutions contain moderate concentrations of hydrogen ions and have pH's of less than 7.0. They react as acids to neutralize bases. These neutralizations generate heat, but less or far less than is generated by neutralization of inorganic acids, inorganic oxoacids, and carboxylic acid. They usually do not react as either oxidizing agents or reducing agents but such behavior is not impossible. Many of these compounds catalyze organic reactions.

Move containers from fire area if you can do it without risk. Dike fire-control water for later disposal; do not scatter the material. FIRE INVOLVING TANKS OR CAR/TRAILER LOADS: Fight fire from maximum distance or use unmanned hose holders or monitor nozzles. Do not get water inside containers. Cool containers with flooding quantities of water until well after fire is out. Withdraw immediately in case of rising sound from venting safety devices or discoloration of tank. Drug Information

Substances that augment, stimulate, activate, potentiate, or modulate the immune response at either the cellular or humoral level. The classical agents (Freund's adjuvant, BCG, Corynebacterium parvum, et al.) contain bacterial antigens. Some are endogenous (e.g., histamine, interferon, transfer factor, tuftsin, interleukin-1). Their mode of action is either non-specific, resulting in increased immune responsiveness to a wide variety of antigens, or antigen-specific, i.e., affecting a restricted type of immune response to a narrow group of antigens. The therapeutic efficacy of many biological response modifiers is related to their antigen-specific immunoadjuvanticity. Aluminum Acetate is an astringent. An astrignent is a chemical that tends to shrink or constrict body tissues, usually locally after topical medicinal application. The shrinkage or constriction is through osmotic flow of water (or other fluids) away from the area where the astringent was applied. Astringent medicines cause shrinkage of mucous membranes or exposed tissues and are often used internally to check discharge of blood serum or mucous secretions. This can happen with a sore throat, hemorrhages, diarrhea, or with peptic ulcers. Externally applied astringents, which cause mild coagulation of skin proteins, dry, harden, and protect the skin. Acne sufferers are often advised to use astringents if they have oily skin. Astringents also help heal stretch marks and other scars. Mild astringent solutions are used in the relief of such minor skin irritations as those resulting from superficial cuts, allergies, insect bites, or fungal infections such as athlete's foot.

Excerpt from ERG Guide 154 [Substances - Toxic and/or Corrosive (Non-Combustible)]: Ensure that medical personnel are aware of the material(s) involved and take precautions to protect themselves. Move victim to fresh air. Call 911 or emergency medical service. Give artificial respiration if victim is not breathing. Do not use mouth-to-mouth method if victim ingested or inhaled the substance; give artificial respiration with the aid of a pocket mask equipped with a one-way valve or other proper respiratory medical device. Administer oxygen if breathing is difficult. Remove and isolate contaminated clothing and shoes. In case of contact with substance, immediately flush skin or eyes with running water for at least 20 minutes. For minor skin contact, avoid spreading material on unaffected skin. Keep victim calm and warm. Effects of exposure (inhalation, ingestion or skin contact) to substance may be delayed. (ERG, 2016)

Methods of Manufacturing

Hydrothermal synthesis method In a stirred neutralization reactor, sodium aluminate is added to hot water to dissolve into a concentrated solution, heated to 85°C, and 85% phosphoric acid is added for neutralization reaction to form a white precipitate, and the end point is controlled at Ph 4.2 ~ 4.5, and then send the precipitate and solution to the autoclave with stirring device, heating at 250 ℃ for several hours and then centrifuge. The solids are sent to the washing tank, first washed with dilute hydrochloric acid solution, and then washed several times with clear water to remove water-soluble impurities, filtered and dried to obtain finished aluminum phosphate. The mother liquor component of centrifugal separation is sodium dihydrogen phosphate, and the by-product sodium dihydrogen phosphate is recovered and processed. Its 2H3PO4+NaAIO2→AlPO4+NaH2PO4+2H2O metathesis method dissolves trisodium phosphate and aluminum sulfate in a dissolving tank with water at 85-95℃, and then filters with a plate and frame filter to remove non-water-soluble impurities. These two solutions are sent to the reaction kettle with appropriate concentration and molar ratio [A12(SO4)3/Na3 PO4=1:3] to undergo metathesis reaction, so that white colloidal aluminum phosphate is precipitated, and then filtered with a plate and frame The machine directly separates liquid and solid. Sodium sulfate is recovered from the separated mother liquor, the aluminum phosphate remaining in the filter press is washed with dilute hydrochloric acid solution, and then washed several times with clear water to remove impurities such as sulfate radicals, filtered, dried, and crushed to obtain aluminum phosphate products. Drug Function and Efficacy

Antacid. It can neutralize and buffer gastric acid, increase the pH in the stomach, and thus relieve the symptoms of excessive gastric acid. Compared with aluminum hydroxide, this product has a weaker and slower ability to neutralize gastric acid, but it does not cause the loss of phosphate in the body and does not affect the balance of phosphorus and calcium. The aluminum phosphate in the gel can form a colloidal protective film that can isolate and protect damaged tissues.
