Description

Zirconium Basic Carbonate, also known as ZBC or zirconium oxycarbonate, is an important white amorphous zirconium powder widely used as the key precursor for manufacturing multiple zirconium salts and zirconium oxide. It is insoluble in water but soluble in inorganic acids and ammonium carbonate solution. Upon heating above 135°C, it decomposes and generates zirconia and carbon dioxide.

Our industrial grade Zirconium Basic Carbonate features stable Zr(Hf)O₂ content ranging from 38.0% to 42.0%, with strict control over trace impurities including iron, sodium, silicon, titanium, lead and arsenic. Consistent low impurity levels ensure reliable performance for downstream formulations.

SECTION 4: First aid measures

4.1 Description of first aid measures

Inhalation: Remove victim to fresh air. If coughing or discomfort persists, seek medical help.
Skin contact: Remove contaminated clothing. Rinse skin with plenty of running water for ≥15 min. Consult doctor if irritation develops.
Eye contact: Flush eyes with plenty of clean running water for at least 15 minutes, keep eyelids open. Seek medical attention if irritation remains.
