    Product function

LM-15A has the characteristics of high flash point, odorless, colorless, transparent and non-toxic to human body. It is used as a heat carrier in oil bath or thermostat in steel, glass, ceramics and other industries and scientific research. As a heat transfer medium, it is forced to circulate in the system to make it heated again and again, so as to meet the purpose of continuously obtaining the required heat energy for the heat demand equipment, and meet the requirements of the process temperature set in the production process and high-precision temperature control.

    Product composition

LM-15A glacier coolant is modified by polysiloxane. Its appearance is colorless and transparent liquid, tasteless and insoluble in water.

    Main parameter

As a heat transfer medium, LM-15A glacier coolant has the characteristics of physiological inertness, good chemical stability, low freezing point, high flash point, good hydrophobic performance, long service life, etc. It has almost no adverse effect on many materials represented by metals, and is suitable for long-term use within the range of – -70 ℃ – 100 ℃. At 20 ℃, the Dynamic viscosity is 5.75cp and the density is 0.918g/cm3,Specific heat 1.658 kJ/kg.K .

    17. Instructions

    18. At higher temperatures, LM-15A is sensitive to pollution caused by strong acids, alkalis, and some metal compounds and oxidants. These pollutants may accelerate the formation of volatile by-products. The oxidant can also increase the viscosity of the product. When these conditions may exist, it is recommended to regularly check the flash point of the product to monitor the operation safety. In addition, if the liquid smokes, there may be flammable conditions.

    About Us

Glacier Coolant’s history goes back to 1994, when the founder of Glacier Coolant, Mr Songquan Bai, first invented a fluid, that can solve the problem of most chemical factory facing at that time, that the glycol solution they use to cool their reaction in their process system, corroded the pipe and equipment seriously. This product won favorable comments immediately once putted on the market, and was widely spread in China. It improved the plant operation efficiency in fine chemical factory and API factory.

Latterly, a series of anti-corrosion products were developed. By 2023, Glacier Coolant has more than 40 products covering a very wide temperature range from -110°C (-166°F) to 340°C (644°F), application industry expand to food and beverages, HVAC, cold storage, data center, fuel cell cooling etc. The product line includes silicon oil and thermal oil, and phase change materials (PCM) are also developed.

Currently, the company’s manufacturing facility is in Chaoyang, Liaoning, China. We created our Laboratory Service Unit in Beijing to improve research capabilities. Laboratory Service division helps the customer to design the product that can meet their specific requirement and solve the technique problems they are encountering. The center can also provide sample analysis for the products the customer currently use.
