Conjugated linoleic acid is an isomer of linoleic acid, and its English name is Conjugated linoleic acid (CLA for short). It is a substance that exists naturally in various organisms, including the human body. It is generally believed that linoleic acid is converted into conjugated linoleic acid by isomerase in the rumen of ruminants, and the human body cannot synthesize it by itself. It must be taken from ruminants such as cattle and eggs with high CLA content or CLA nutritional supplements.

Conjugated linoleic acid was discovered in the late 20th century. In recent decades, scientists from all over the world have conducted a lot of research on it and have successively found that this substance has many important physiological functions such as regulating blood lipids, immune regulation, and weight loss.
