Benzalkonium chloride is a cationic surfactant and a non-oxidizing fungicide. It has a broad-spectrum and highly effective bactericidal and algae-killing ability. It can effectively control the growth of algae and slime in water, and has good slime stripping effect and certain dispersion and penetration effects. It also has certain oil removal, deodorization and corrosion inhibition effects. It is easily soluble in water and is not affected by water hardness. It is used to control the growth of algae and bacteria in circulating cooling water systems and has a special effect on inhibiting sulfate-reducing bacteria.

Application

1. Broad-spectrum/high-efficiency sterilization: can inhibit Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, etc.
2. Cleansing/sterilization effect: strong and rapid sterilization, friendly to skin and mucous membranes, can change the permeability of bacterial cytoplasmic membranes, make bacterial cytoplasmic substances extravasate, hinder their metabolism and inhibit them.
3. Degreasing/deodorizing/corrosion inhibition: used as disinfectant, bactericidal algaecide, and deodorant in cosmetics.
