Product Description

Sorbitan monolaurate is an organic compound with the chemical formula C18H34O6. It is an amber oily liquid, miscible with organic solvents and oils, and forms a semi-emulsive solution in water. It is produced by using sorbitol as raw material, dehydration and ring-closure to generate anhydrous sorbitol, and then carrying out esterification reaction with lau-ric acid. Mainly used in cosmetics, medicine, and textile industries as water-in-oil emulsifiers, wetting agents, and mechanical lubricants. Nonionic surfactant, used as emulsifier, stabilizer, thickener, lubricant, softener, antistatic agent, dispersant, co-solvent, anti-rust agent, finishing agent and spinning aid, etc.

5. Coffee-mate: Gives a more uniform fat globule size distribution resulting in improved whitening effect and dissloves in whater well.

6. Cake emulsifier: Enlarges cake volume.Improves cake texture and paste stability.Prolongs shelf life.

Span 20 40 60 80: Used as W/O emulsion explosive, preparation agent of textile, emulgator of artesian well weighted mud and producing of food and cosmetic, dispersant in beaded paint, stabilizer of itanium dioxide, insecticide, wetting agent and emulgator in pesticide, cosolvent of oil production, antirust of slushing oil, lubricant and softening agent of textile and leather.
