o-toluidine is a kind of aromatic amine compound (aromatic amine is a compound composed of benzene ring and amino group). The methyl group is connected to different positions of the benzene ring, and the names are different. There are three isomers in the positions of o-, m- and p-methylaniline. There are three isomers of toluidine, namely o-methylaniline, m-methylaniline and p-methylaniline. o-Toluidine is an in-situ substitution product, and m-Toluidine is a displacement substitution product. o-Toluidine, also known as "o-aminotoluidine", is a colorless to light yellow liquid. It turns reddish brown when exposed to air and light, and forms a white precipitate when it meets formaldehyde. It is slightly soluble in water, soluble in dilute acid, alcohol and ether. Relative density: 1.004 (20℃); melting point: -16.3℃ (β type), -24.4℃ (α type); boiling point: 199.7℃; flash point: 85℃; autoignition point: 482.2℃; vapor density: 3.69. Its vapor and air can form an explosive mixture, and the maximum allowable concentration in the air is 5ppm. It can burn when exposed to open flames, and emit toxic gases when exposed to high temperatures. Its toxicity is similar to that of aniline. It is easy to form methemoglobin when it enters the body, causing neurological disorders and cyanosis. Ortho-toluidine is an important intermediate in the production of dyes and pigments. It can be used to prepare direct red 62, red base RL, red base G, red base GBC, basic fuchsin, color phenol AS-D, acid red 35, 158, 265, solvent red 124, diazo components and coupling components of azo dyes, and organic pigments yellow 14, 17, and blue 19; pesticide raw materials, production of pesticide fungicides "tricyclazole", insecticides chlorpyrifos, chlordimeform; herbicide acetochlor; raw materials for rubber vulcanization accelerators; saccharin raw materials; corrosion inhibitor raw materials, etc. In organic synthesis, ortho-toluidine is also used to synthesize heterocyclic compounds such as indole and its derivatives.  Product Detail

    Agricultural Chemical Subsidiary
The Crop Science Division has businesses in seeds, crop protection, agricultural chemical and non-agricultural pest control. It is organized into two operating units: Crop Protection/Seeds and Environmental Science. Crop Protection/Seeds markets a broad portfolio of high-value seeds along with innovative chemical and biological pest management solutions, at the same time providing extensive customer service for modern and sustainable agriculture.

The aim is to be able to produce enough food, feed, fiber and renewable raw materials for a growing world population on the limited land available. This is one goal of the Crop Science Division, which has businesses in crop protection, seeds and nonagricultural applications.

    Crop Protection and Seeds
Crop protection products should act selectively in the smallest possible amounts and then quickly decompose into neutral substances. Modern insecticides control insect pests while sparing pollinators and other beneficial insects. Herbicides selectively suppress weeds without harming the crop. And many fungicides serve to make plants more resistant to microscopic pathogens. In their search for new active ingredients, our researchers are increasingly guided by nature’s strategies. Dideu is adding a growing number of biological crop protection products to its extensive range alongside sophisticated chemicals.

Our seeds are adapted to local soil and climatic conditions and give high yields. When breeding new varieties, we also take into account consumer requirements, such as the flavor of vegetables. Whether their work focuses on rice, vegetables, cotton or oilseed rape / canola, our research centers worldwide always have the same goals: to protect harvests from diseases, insect pests and encroaching weeds and to improve plant health, thus increasing yields and improving crop quality. We have expanded our research activities to include two new core crops – wheat and soybeans. To build a leading wheat seed business with high-yielding, robust varieties, we operate breeding stations in the wheatgrowing regions of Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Ukraine and the United States.

Fight against Tropical & Subtropical Diseases
Crop Science supports public health and adherence to hygiene standards through its modern range of pest control products. One focus here is on the control of insects that transmit tropical or subtropical diseases such as malaria, dengue fever and Chagas disease.

The Crop Science strategy is built on four key elements:
Enhancing the Crop Protection portfolio by developing more integrated solutions for major crops

Increasing customer centricity along the entire value chain

Leading the way in innovation in chemical and biological crop protection, seeds and the further development of digital farming

Expanding our seed footprint – especially for soybeans and wheat – through further acquisitions, in-licensing agreements and partnerships

    Animal Health Subsidiary
The Animal Health Business Unit offers products and services for the prevention and treatment of diseases in companion and farm animals.

People throughout the world have close relationships with their pets, which are often treated as part of the family and keep their owners company into old age. Farm animals are suppliers of food, on which high demands are made in terms of quality. Our aim is to protect and preserve the health of animals with our products. We know the needs of our customers – whether veterinarians, pet owners or farmers.

The role animals play in our lives is growing in significance, and as humans and animals live closer together, it has also become more necessary to protect humans from the transmission of disease pathogens. Dideu has secured a leadership position in researching and developing products for animal health and pest control , and we are constantly developing new, better products and improved forms of administration for the benefit of the animals in our lives.

    Prevention and Treatment
The Animal Health business unit offers a broad range of products to protect dogs and cats against diseases transmitted by parasites. Our Advantage product family for flea and tick control has been a market leader for years. When animals fall sick, we can help with a range of treatment options, especially for bacterial infections.

Farm animals, fish and bees supply foods such as milk, eggs, fish, meat and honey. Their health is therefore of special importance for humans. For this reason our portfolio includes products both for treating sick animals and for preventing disease occurrence. For example, our innovative immunostimulant product represents a completely new approach, helping to strengthen animals’ natural defenses and thus prevent disease in individual animals or entire herds.

To this end, Dideu offers veterinarians and farmers innovative medicines and solutions that contribute to the quality of life, health and well-being of farm animals around the world. Among the important areas are in the treatment and prevention of parasitic diseases, anti-infectives, pharmacological therapies and farm hygiene. We also have an ongoing quest to discover and develop new and innovative therapies to make the world a better place for animals and humans.

companion animals are treated with our products each year to protect them from external parasites – as are 25 percent of farm animals.

Diseases cause pain and suffering in animals, too. We support animal owners in preventing pain or ensuring responsible treatment. We also participate in animal welfare projects worldwide, including one to protect mine detection dogs in Cambodia.

    Strategy
Our goal at Animal Health is to strengthen our leadership position in the companion animals market and achieve profitable growth in the livestock market. We aim to achieve this by expanding our research and development activities and through selective in-licensing and acquisitions.
