    [Use 1]
Mainly used in the production of synthetic resins, surfactants and explosives, also used as antifreeze

    [Use 2]
used as analytical reagents, chromatographic analysis reagents and capacitive media
    [Use 3]
Mainly used in the production of polyester resin, alkyd resin, plasticizer, antifreeze, also used in cosmetics and explosives
    [Use 4]
Ethylene glycol is an intermediate of the fungicide penticonazole and oxazole.
    [use 5]
ethylene glycol is mainly used for the preparation of antifreeze for automobile cooling systems and the production of polyethylene terephthalate (raw material for polyester fibers and polyester plastics), and can also be used for the production of synthetic resins, solvents, lubricants, surfactants, softeners, humidifiers, explosives, etc. Ethylene glycol is often used instead of glycerin, and is used as a hydrating agent and solvent in the tanning and pharmaceutical industries, respectively. Ethylene glycol has a strong solubility ability, but it is easily metabolized and oxidized to produce toxic oxalic acid, so it cannot be widely used as a solvent. Glycol is added to the hydraulic fluid to prevent the erosion of the rubber in the system by the oil-based hydraulic fluid; The water-based hydraulic fluid with ethylene glycol as the main component is a non-combustible hydraulic fluid used in aircraft, automobiles and molding machines for high-temperature work. Ethylene glycol has many important derivatives. Low-molecular-weight polyethylene glycol (monoethylene glycol, diethylene glycol, triethylene glycol or diethylene glycol, triethylene glycol, tetraethylene glycol, respectively) is actually a by-product of ethylene oxide hydration to produce ethylene glycol. Diethylene glycol can be used as a humidifier, plasticizer, sizing agent, printing ink solvent, natural gas dehydration desiccant and aromatic hydrocarbon extraction solvent. Diethylene glycol dinitrate, similar to ethylene glycol dinitrate, is also an important industrial explosive. High-molecular-weight polyethylene glycols range from colorless transparent viscous liquids to waxy solids and are also useful derivatives depending on their molecular weight. It is used as lubricants, moisture retention agents, solvents, intermediates in the rubber and food industries, and is also used in the formulation of cosmetics and additives in the fields of textiles and papermaking. There are many ester varieties of ethylene glycol, which are widely used as solvents. Ethylene glycol esters of long-chain fatty acids have surface improvement properties and can be used alone or in combination with their surfactants as emulsifiers, stabilizers, dispersants, humidifiers, foaming agents and suspending agents. Ethylene glycol reacts with urea to form cycloethylene urea, which is used in the textile industry. Disodium ethylene glycol reacts with 1,2-dibromoethane to form dioxane, which is a special solvent. Different oxidants or reaction conditions are used for ethylene glycol. After oxidation, ethanolaldehyde, glyoxal, glycolic acid, oxalic acid, etc. can be obtained.
    [Use 6]
gas chromatography stationary solution (maximum use temperature 50 °C, solvent is chloroform), separation and analysis of low boiling point oxygen-containing compounds, amine compounds, nitrogen or oxygen heterocyclic compounds. Determination of calcium oxide, solvents, antifreeze in cement, manufacture of polyester resins, plasticizers, cosmetics, explosives, cold-resistant lubricants, surfactants, varnishes, dyes, inks, etc., organic synthesis.
