        What is   iodine balls/Povidone Iodine?

Iodine is extremely important for plant and animal life.

Iodine and its related compounds are mainly used in medicine, photography and dyes.

Iodine is mostly used in the production of organoiodide compounds, with 15% remaining in elemental form, 15% used as potassium iodide, and the last 15% being made into other inorganic iodine compounds.   The main uses of iodine compounds include catalysts, animal food additives, stabilizers, dyes, colorants, pigments, pharmaceuticals, hygiene (iodine) and photography. Niche uses of iodine compounds include de-fogging, cloud seeding, and use in analytical chemistry.
