    Titanium dioxide 

    is an inorganic compound with the chemical formula TiO2. It is a white solid or powdery amphoteric oxide with a molecular weight of 79.866 and stable chemical properties. When used as a pigment, it is also known as titanium dioxide. Titanium dioxide has better whiteness, stability, coloring power, weather resistance, covering power, heat resistance, and is basically non-toxic compared to other white pigments.
