    Product Overview:

Cyhalofop-butyl is a highly selective, post-emergence herbicide used for effective control of annual grass weeds in direct-seeded and transplanted rice fields. This herbicide provides quick action on target grasses while being safe on rice crops when applied at the recommended dosage. It is widely valued by rice farmers for its excellent crop safety, rainfastness, and minimal residual impact on the soil.

    Key Benefits:

    • Highly selective – Targets grass weeds without harming rice

    • 🌱 Post-emergent control – Kills actively growing grassy weeds

    • 🌦️ Rainfast within hours – Quick absorption ensures reliability

    • 🔄 Low soil activity – No residual build-up or carryover effects

    • 💧 Easy to apply – Mixes well in water, suitable for foliar application

    • ⏱️ Rapid action – Visible effects within a few days of application

    Mode of Action:

Cyhalofop-butyl inhibits acetyl-CoA carboxylase (ACCase), an enzyme essential for fatty acid synthesis in susceptible grassy weeds. This leads to the cessation of cell membrane formation, causing the plants to wilt, discolor, and die.

    Herbicide Group: ACCase Inhibitor
    HRAC Classification: Group A

    Target Weeds:

    • Echinochloa crus-galli (Barnyardgrass)

    • Echinochloa colonum

    • Leptochloa chinensis (Chinese sprangletop)

    • Panicum repens (Torpedograss)

    • Digitaria spp.

    • Ischaemum rugosum

    Recommended Crops:

    • Rice (paddy) – both direct-seeded and transplanted varieties

    Application Guidelines:

Weed Stage Application Timing Dosage Water Volume
    2–4 leaf stage 10–15 days after sowing 500–750 mL/ha 300–500 liters/ha

Use flat-fan nozzles for even spray distribution. Avoid overlapping spray. Do not apply during strong winds or rain.

    Compatibility:

Cyhalofop-butyl can be tank-mixed with other broadleaf or sedge herbicides (e.g., bispyribac-sodium or penoxsulam) for broader-spectrum control. Always conduct a compatibility test before large-scale mixing.

    Precautions & Safety:

    • 🧤 Wear protective gloves, mask, and goggles during mixing and spraying

    • 🚫 Do not apply near water sources or allow runoff

    • 👩‍🌾 Re-entry Interval (REI): 12–24 hours

    • ⚠️ Avoid spraying when rice plants are under stress (e.g., drought, cold)

    Storage & Handling:

    • Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat

    • Keep container tightly closed and out of reach of children and pets

    • Do not reuse empty containers; dispose of according to local regulations
