    Product Overview:

Pyrimethanil is a highly effective systemic fungicide used for the prevention and control of fungal diseases in a wide range of crops. It is particularly effective against Botrytis (gray mold) and other Ascomycetes. Its translaminar and vapor activity allows it to control pathogens on and inside the leaf surface, making it a reliable choice for both pre- and post-harvest disease management.

    Key Features & Benefits:

    • Broad-spectrum control of fungal pathogens including gray mold, scab, and leaf spot

    • 🌿 Systemic and translaminar action ensures thorough protection

    • 🧪 Inhibits fungal enzyme secretion to prevent growth and infection

    • ⏱️ Long residual activity for extended crop protection

    • 🍇 Safe on fruits, vegetables, ornamentals, and cereals

    Mode of Action:

Pyrimethanil disrupts fungal development by inhibiting the secretion of enzymes necessary for infection, such as cutinase and cellulase. It interferes with methionine biosynthesis, ultimately preventing spore germination and mycelial growth.

    Fungicide Group: Anilinopyrimidine
    FRAC Code: 9

    Target Diseases:

    • Botrytis cinerea (gray mold)

    • Alternaria spp.

    • Monilinia spp. (brown rot)

    • Venturia inaequalis (apple scab)

    • Sclerotinia spp.

    • Rhizoctonia spp.

    • Fusarium spp.

    Recommended Crops:

    • Grapes

    • Tomatoes

    • Strawberries

    • Apples and pears

    • Citrus

    • Peppers

    • Cucurbits (melons, cucumbers, etc.)

    • Ornamentals and flowers

    Application Guidelines:

    Crop Target Disease Dose Interval
Grapes Botrytis cinerea 1.0–1.5 L/ha (SC) 7–14 days
Tomatoes Botrytis, Alternaria 0.8–1.2 L/ha (SC) 7 days
    Apples Scab, Monilinia spp. 0.75–1.0 L/ha (SC) Pre-flowering / post-flowering
Strawberries Botrytis 1.0–1.5 L/ha As needed before flowering

Apply as a foliar spray. Ensure full coverage of the plant surface. Do not exceed maximum seasonal applications per label guidelines.

    Compatibility:

Pyrimethanil is compatible with many other fungicides and insecticides. However, a jar test is recommended before mixing with other products.

    Precautions & Safety:

    • 🧤 Use appropriate PPE during mixing and application

    • 🚫 Avoid application during windy conditions to prevent drift

    • 🚱 Do not contaminate water bodies or irrigation channels

    • 📦 Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area

    Environmental Profile:

    • 🐝 Low toxicity to bees and beneficial insects when applied properly

    • 🌎 Moderate persistence in soil – avoid excessive or repeated use

    • 📉 Resistance management recommended by rotating with fungicides of different modes of action
