    Product Overview

Iprobenfos is a systemic organophosphorus fungicide with protective and curative properties, widely used to control fungal diseases in rice and other crops. It is especially effective against rice blast (Pyricularia oryzae) and sheath blight (Rhizoctonia solani), two of the most destructive diseases in rice cultivation.

Once applied, Iprobenfos is absorbed by plant roots and leaves and is translocated throughout the plant, providing long-lasting protection from the inside. Its dual action (preventive and curative) makes it a highly valuable tool in integrated disease management programs.

    Key Features & Benefits

    • Systemic activity for deep and long-lasting protection

    • Excellent control of major rice diseases such as blast and sheath blight

    • Prevents fungal spore germination and inhibits fungal growth

    • Can be used in rotation with other fungicides for resistance management

    • Safe for rice plants when applied at recommended dosages

    • Effective in both tropical and temperate regions

    Target Crops & Diseases

    Crop Target Disease Application Stage
Rice Rice blast (Pyricularia oryzae) Early vegetative to tillering
Rice Sheath blight (Rhizoctonia solani) Pre-booting or early disease signs
Leafy vegetables Leaf spot diseases Preventive or early-stage application
Other cereals Various fungal infections As per local guidelines

Always follow regional agricultural guidelines and product label instructions for optimal results.

    Mode of Action

Iprobenfos interferes with fungal lipid metabolism and disrupts the development of the fungal cell wall. It also inhibits the biosynthesis of essential enzymes needed for fungal growth, halting infection progression and preventing further spread.

    Compatibility & Application

    • Can be tank-mixed with other compatible fungicides and insecticides

    • Apply as a foliar spray or through irrigation (as per agronomic recommendations)

    • Ensure thorough coverage of the plant canopy for best efficacy

    Handling & Safety Instructions

    • Use personal protective equipment (PPE) during handling and application

    • Do not mix or apply near water bodies

    • Wash hands and exposed skin thoroughly after use

    • Dispose of containers and residue in accordance with local regulations
