                                Diethyltoluenediamine (English name Diethyltoluenediamine) refers to a mixture of two isomers of diethyltoluenediamine, that is, a commercial mixture of two isomers: 3,5-diethyl-2,4-diaminotoluene (3,5-Diethyl-toluene-2,4-diamine) 76% and 3,5-diethyl-2,6-diaminotoluene (3,5-Diethyl-toluene-2,6-diamine) 24%, referred to as DETDA. At room temperature, it is a light yellow to reddish brown transparent liquid with an ammonia smell. It is slightly soluble in water and soluble in polar organic solvents such as alcohol, ether, and ketone. It has good compatibility with polyether and polyester polyols. The color will darken after long-term exposure to air. Diethyltoluenediamine is flammable and highly corrosive. Contact with skin and eyes can cause irritation and severe burns.
