    Properties:


    Physical properties: Chloroaminomercaptan is a colorless or pale yellow crystalline powder with a certain pungent odor.
    Chemical properties: Chloroaminomercaptan is weakly acidic in aqueous solution and can react with acids and bases to form salt compounds. It is prone to decomposition at high temperatures and can even decompose into mercury and chlorine gas.

    Purpose:


    1. Chloroammonium mercury is commonly used as a catalyst in organic synthesis reactions to accelerate the reaction rate.
    2. It is toxic. Chloroammonium mercury can be used as a bactericide and preservative.
    3. In some chemical experiments, chloroammonium mercury can be used as an analytical reagent.
