Description

Triethanolamine is a pale yellow and viscous liquid. It is hygroscopic with an irritant and ammoniacal odor. There are multiple industrial and domestic applications for this compound, i.e., in the manufacture of toilet products, cosmetics formulations, solvents for waxes, resins, dyes, paraffi ns and polishes, herbicides, and lubricants for textile products. In the pharmaceutical industry, triethanolamine is used as a non-steroidal, antiinfl ammatory agent, an emulsifi er, and an alkylating age

Triethanolamine may turn brown on exposure to air and light.
The 85% grade of triethanolamine tends to stratify below 15℃;homegeneity can be restored by warming and mixing before use.

Very hygroscopic turns brown on exposure to air and light.

Triethanolamine Use and Manufacturing

GB2760-96 stipulates that the permitted food processing aids are limited to GMP. Used as a clean liquid for removing carbon dioxide or hydrogen sulfide in gas. The esters formed by triethanolamine and higher fatty acids are widely used as detergents, emulsifiers, humectants and lubricants, and are also used to formulate cosmetic balsams. Triethanolamine is also used as preservative and waterproofing agent, analytical reagent and solvent. Used as an activator in the polymerization of nitrile rubber, it can also be used as an emulsifier and stabilizer for oils and waxes, and a softener for textiles under acidic conditions. It is one of the components of synthetic fiber spinning finishes such as polyester. Used as an additive in the polymerization of nitrile rubber, concrete accelerator, oil emulsifier, and also used in non-cyanide electroplating gas chromatography stationary liquid (maximum use temperature 75 ℃, solvents are methanol, ethanol), separation and analysis of oxygen, Nitrogen-containing compounds and water-containing samples, etc. Complexing agent. Metal masking agent. Titrate platinum and palladium. Colorimetric determination of manganese. Determination of tin, antimony and manganese. Absorb alkaline gases such as carbon dioxide and carbon disulfide. Emulsifier. Solvent. Corrosion inhibitor. Gas chromatographic stationary liquid (maximum use temperature of 75 ℃, solvents are methanol, ethanol) to separate and analyze oxygen-containing, nitrogen-containing compounds and water-containing samples. Complexing agent, metal masking agent, titration of palladium and platinum, colorimetric determination of manganese, determination of tin and antimony. Absorbs odors such as carbon dioxide and carbon disulfide. Emulsifier, solvent, corrosion inhibitor.

Drug Function and Efficacy

This product is a topical skin wound treatment agent and a unique water-in-oil cream of triethanolamine. Through the principle of penetration and capillary action, it plays a dual role of cleaning and drainage. This product has deep hydration, can increase the blood flow rate of the skin, help discharge exudate, and can also change the ratio between interleukin I and interleukin VI, stimulate fibroblast proliferation, and increase collagen synthesis. This product is non-toxic and well tolerated.

This ingredient has been used in drugs with the following functions (note: it does not mean that the ingredient itself has the following health functions)
