Sodium stearate powder appears as a white powder, with a fatty odor and a slippery feel. It has good solubility, dissolving in hot water and ethanol. When it comes into contact with acids, it decomposes into stearic acid and the corresponding sodium salt.

This product has a wide range of applications in the cosmetics industry and industrial scenarios such as plastics, metal processing, and metal cutting. In the combined vulcanization system of acrylate rubber soap and sulfur, it is often used as a catalyst, dispersant, lubricant, surface treatment agent, and corrosion inhibitor. In the processing of polyethylene and polypropylene, it can eliminate the adverse effects of residual catalysts on the color and stability of resins. With its excellent lubricity, it enhances processing performance. When used in combination with zinc soaps and epoxides, it produces a synergistic effect, improving the thermal stability of materials. When used together with basic lead salts and lead soaps in the production of rigid products, it can accelerate the gelation rate, optimizing processing efficiency and product quality.
