We are suppliers of BEST QUALITY United States Urea46 fertilizers and looking for serious buyers in need of our products, contact with us for more details

Urea 46 is one of the most widely used nitrogen fertilizers in agriculture. It is called "Urea 46" because it contains 46% nitrogen by weight. Here are some key aspects:

    Properties of Urea 46:

    1. High Nitrogen Content: As a concentrated source of nitrogen, Urea 46 is highly effective in promoting plant growth.
    2. Granular Form: Urea is typically available in granular or prilled form, making it easy to spread and mix with soil.
    3. Solubility: It is highly soluble in water, making it an excellent option for both dry and liquid fertilizer applications.

    Uses in Agriculture:

    • Soil Application: Urea is often applied directly to the soil to boost nitrogen content, which is crucial for the growth of crops like wheat, corn, and rice.
    • Fertigation: It can also be dissolved in water and applied through irrigation systems, a method called fertigation.
    • Top Dressing: Urea can be applied as a top dressing for crops in mid-season to provide an additional nitrogen boost.

    Benefits:

    • Cost-Effective: Urea is relatively inexpensive compared to other nitrogen-based fertilizers.
    • Efficiency: Due to its high nitrogen content, it is an efficient fertilizer, requiring smaller quantities to achieve desired results.

    Considerations:

    • Volatilization: When urea is applied to the soil surface, it can release ammonia gas if not incorporated into the soil, leading to nitrogen loss.
    • Acidity: Continuous use of urea may cause soil acidification, which may need to be managed with lime or other soil amendments.

    Application Tips:

    • Incorporate into the Soil: To minimize nitrogen loss, urea should be mixed into the soil or applied just before rainfall.
    • Timely Application: Nitrogen from urea becomes available to plants about a week after application, so it’s important to apply it at the right time in the crop growth cycle.

Would you like more information on how to apply it to specific crops or regions?

    Reactivity Profile:

UREA is a weak base. Reacts with hypochlorites to form nitrogen trichloride which explodes spontaneously in air [J. Am. Chem. Soc. 63:3530-32]. Same is true for phosphorus pentachloride. It reacts with azo and diazo compounds to generate toxic gases. Reacts with strong reducing agents to form flammable gases (hydrogen). The heating of improper stoichiometric amounts of urea and sodium nitrite lead to an explosion. Heated mixtures of oxalic acid and urea yielded rapid evolution of gases, carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide and ammonia (if hot, can be explosive). Titanium tetrachloride and urea slowly formed a complex during 6 weeks at 80° C, decomposed violently at 90 C, [Chem. Abs., 1966, 64, 9219b]. Urea ignites spontaneously on stirring with nitrosyl perchlorate due to the formation of the diazonium perchlorate. Oxalic acid and urea react at high temperatures to form toxic and flammable ammonia and carbon monoxide gases, and inert CO2 gas [Von Bentzinger, R. et al., Praxis Naturwiss. Chem., 1987, 36(8), 41-42].
