      Product Detail

Urea is a white granular solid fertilizer with a nitrogen content as high as 46%, making it the nitrogen fertilizer with the highest nitrogen content at present. It is highly soluble in water, has strong hygroscopicity and is prone to caking during storage. Urea itself cannot be directly absorbed by plants. It needs to be decomposed by microorganisms in the soil and converted into ammonium nitrogen and nitrate nitrogen before it can be utilized by crops. This transformation process is affected by temperature, humidity and soil pH. Urea is suitable for all types of soil and crops and can be used as base fertilizer or top dressing. However, it is best to bury it in the soil when applying it to avoid exposure on the surface, which may cause nitrogen volatilization and loss. It has a fast fertilizer effect and is inexpensive. It is one of the most commonly used nitrogen fertilizers in agricultural production.

    Automotive Grade Urea
Automotive Grade Urea is a special, uncoated version of highest purity. It is a main component of urea solutions like Diesel Exhaust Fluid or AUS40/45 which are used within SCR-systems for the reason of NOx reduction. It is the only type of Urea that meets the ISO 22241 specification and the only suitable Urea for the production of DEF/AUS32/ARLA32 solutions. For meeting the ISO 22241 the Urea needs to be of highest purity/quality.

Automotive urea granules are a high-purity solid urea product specifically designed for the production of die-sel exhaust fluid (DEF), also known as AdBlue. DEF is a critical component in the Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) systems of die-sel vehicles, effectively reducing nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions from die-sel engines to meet increasingly stringent global environmental regulations. Our automotive urea granules are manufactured using advanced production processes, ensuring their purity and quality meet international standards, making them an ideal raw material for producing high-quality DEF.

The primary component of automotive urea granules is urea, with a purity level exceeding 99.9% and free from any harmful impurities. By dissolving the automotive urea granules in deionized water, DEF compliant with the ISO 22241 standard can be produced. ISO 22241 is a global standard established by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) for DEF, covering its chemical composition, physical properties, storage, and usage requirements. Our automotive urea granules ensure that the final DEF product fully complies with this standard, meeting the demands of global markets.

    Reactivity Profile:

UREA is a weak base. Reacts with hypochlorites to form nitrogen trichloride which explodes spontaneously in air [J. Am. Chem. Soc. 63:3530-32]. Same is true for phosphorus pentachloride. It reacts with azo and diazo compounds to generate toxic gases. Reacts with strong reducing agents to form flammable gases (hydrogen). The heating of improper stoichiometric amounts of urea and sodium nitrite lead to an explosion. Heated mixtures of oxalic acid and urea yielded rapid evolution of gases, carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide and ammonia (if hot, can be explosive). Titanium tetrachloride and urea slowly formed a complex during 6 weeks at 80° C, decomposed violently at 90 C, [Chem. Abs., 1966, 64, 9219b]. Urea ignites spontaneously on stirring with nitrosyl perchlorate due to the formation of the diazonium perchlorate. Oxalic acid and urea react at high temperatures to form toxic and flammable ammonia and carbon monoxide gases, and inert CO2 gas [Von Bentzinger, R. et al., Praxis Naturwiss. Chem., 1987, 36(8), 41-42].
