      Product Detail  


    Magnesium oxide (MgO) is a common inorganic compound composed of magnesium and oxygen. It appears as a white powder or crystal at room temperature. It possesses a high melting point (approximately 2852°C), strong alkalinity, and high-temperature resistance. It is widely used in refractory materials, medicine, and environmental protection.

    I. Basic Properties and Structure
    Physical Properties 1.
    It appears as a white, odorless powder with a density of 3.58 g/cm³ and high hardness.
    It has extremely high melting and boiling points, making it a high-quality high-temperature refractory material.
    It is slightly soluble in water, and its aqueous solution is weakly alkaline.

    II. Main Applications
    Refractory Materials 1.
    Due to its high-temperature resistance, it is commonly used in metallurgical furnace linings, crucibles, refractory bricks, and other applications, accounting for over 60% of industrial use.

    Pharmaceuticals and Food 2.
    In pharmaceuticals, it is used as an antacid to neutralize stomach acid (e.g., as an ingredient in stomach medicine);
    In food additives, it is used to adjust pH or as a nutritional supplement (magnesium supplement).
    Environmental Applications 3.
    Treats acidic wastewater and neutralizes pollutants such as sulfuric acid and hydrochloric acid;
    Adsorbs heavy metal ions and purifies industrial waste gas.
    Agriculture and Horticulture 4.
    Improves acidic soils and adjusts pH to a suitable range for crop growth;
