      Product Application

    (1) Medical Field: It is a commonly used oral or enema contrast agent for X-ray radiography (e.g., gastrointestinal barium meal examination). Since it does not transmit X-rays and is non-toxic and insoluble in the human body, it can clearly show the shape and structure of the gastrointestinal tract to help diagnose diseases like ulcers or tumors.

    (2) Coatings and Pigments Field: As an inert filler and white pigment, it is added to industrial coatings (such as automotive paints, architectural coatings) and inks. It improves the whiteness, covering power, and weather resistance of coatings, and enhances the mechanical strength and durability of the coating film.

    (3) Papermaking Industry Field: It is used as a filler and brightener in papermaking. Mixing it into pulp can improve the whiteness, smoothness, and opacity of paper, reduce the consumption of wood pulp, and enhance the printing adaptability of paper products (e.g., cultural paper, packaging paper).

    (4) Plastics and Rubber Field: It serves as a reinforcing filler in plastic and rubber products (such as plastic pipes, rubber seals). It improves the rigidity, heat resistance, and wear resistance of products, and reduces production costs without affecting the basic performance of the matrix material.

    (5) Oilfield Drilling Field: In oil and gas drilling, it is made into "barite powder" as a weighting agent for drilling fluids. It increases the density of drilling fluids to balance the pressure of underground formations, prevent wellbore collapse, and ensure the smooth progress of drilling operations.

      Product Function

    (1) X-ray Imaging Function: It cannot transmit X-rays. When used as a medical contrast agent (e.g., gastrointestinal barium meal), it can outline the shape and structure of the examined organ on X-ray films, helping doctors identify lesions like ulcers or tumors.

    (2) Filling and Reinforcement Function: As an inert filler, it is added to coatings, plastics, and rubber. It enhances the mechanical properties of the matrix material (such as the hardness of coatings, rigidity of plastics, and wear resistance of rubber) while reducing production costs without damaging the material's basic performance.

    (3) Opacity and Whiteness Enhancement Function: In papermaking and coatings, it improves the whiteness, opacity, and covering power of products. For paper, it makes the paper surface smoother and more suitable for printing; for coatings, it prevents the bottom color from showing through and enhances weather resistance.

    (4) Density Adjustment Function: In oilfield drilling, it is made into barite powder to increase the density of drilling fluids. This balances the pressure of underground formations, avoids wellbore collapse, and ensures the safety and smooth progress of drilling operations.

    (5) Chemical Stability Protection Function: Due to its resistance to acids, alkalis, and chemical corrosion, it can protect the matrix material (such as metal surfaces in coatings) from the erosion of external corrosive media, extending the service life of products.
