      Product Detail

LiOH is one of the main raw materials for producing advanced lithium based lubricants. Lithium hydroxide has a wide range of applications, mainly used in chemical raw materials, chemical reagents, battery industry, petroleum, metallurgy, glass, ceramics and other industries. It is also an important raw material for national defense industry, atomic energy industry and aerospace industry. Lithium based grease produced from lithium hydroxide has a long service life, strong water resistance, fire resistance, good oxidation resistance, and stable performance after multiple heating cooling heating cycles. It is suitable for temperatures ranging from -50 ℃ to+300 ℃ and is widely used for lubrication of military equipment, aircraft, automobiles, rolling mills, and various mechanical transmission parts. In the battery industry, lithium hydroxide is used as an additive in alkaline batteries and nickel hydrogen batteries, which can extend battery life and increase storage capacity.

    Reactivity Profile:

LITHIUM HYDROXIDE SOLUTION neutralizes acids exothermically to form salts plus water. Reacts with certain metals (such as aluminum and zinc) to form oxides or hydroxides of the metal and generate gaseous hydrogen. May initiate polymerization reactions in polymerizable organic compounds, especially epoxides. May generate flammable and/or toxic gases with ammonium salts, nitrides, halogenated organics, various metals, peroxides, and hydroperoxides. May serve as a catalyst. Reacts when heated above about 84°C with aqueous solutions of reducing sugars other than sucrose, to evolve toxic levels of carbon monoxide [Bretherick, 5th Ed., 1995].

    Critical Temperature & Pressure:

    Store below +30°C.
