    2、Core features of the product

    (1)Physical characteristics

    • Appearance and morphology: Dark black granular, with uniform and rounded particles (columnar particles are in regular cylindrical shape), no obvious impurities, uniform color, no caking phenomenon, firm hand feel, no massive powder falling off. Particle products with different particle size specifications can be customized according to requirements.

Pore structure: It has a well-developed three-level pore system of micropores, mesopores and macropores. Micropores are responsible for adsorbing small molecular substances, mesopores provide diffusion channels for adsorbates, and macropores both act as channels and adsorb macromolecular substances. The pores have good connectivity and fast adsorption rate, which can quickly capture and lock target adsorbates.

Specific surface area: The specific surface area can reach 800-1500 m²/g, with sufficient pore volume. The adsorption capacity per unit mass is much higher than that of ordinary adsorption materials, which can efficiently treat low-concentration and large-capacity pollutant systems and adapt to various complex working conditions.

Mechanical properties: It has extremely high compressive and wear resistance. The ball disc strength is usually ≥95%. It is not easy to break or pulverize during loading, transportation, filling and backwashing processes, which can effectively avoid the decrease of adsorption efficiency and equipment blockage caused by particle damage, and reduce usage loss.

    (2)Chemical characteristics

    • Chemical stability: The main component is carbon (with a carbon content of approximately 90%), and it also contains small amounts of elements such as oxygen, hydrogen, sulfur, and nitrogen. It has stable chemical properties, can work stably in acidic, alkaline, and neutral media, does not undergo chemical reactions with the treated media, and produces no secondary pollution.

Adsorption performance: It has both physical adsorption and chemical adsorption effects. It can adsorb organic substances, odors, pigments, and other substances in gases and liquids through van der Waals forces, and can also undergo chemical reactions with heavy metal ions and harmful gases through surface chemical groups to achieve efficient adsorption and removal. It has strong adsorption selectivity and stable adsorption capacity.

Temperature and pressure resistance: It can withstand high temperature and high pressure, has a wide operating temperature range (-20℃-400℃), and is suitable for special working conditions such as high-temperature flue gas treatment and high-temperature wastewater treatment. Moreover, its adsorption performance is not significantly affected in high-pressure environments, with outstanding performance stability.

    (3)Using features

    • Easily recyclable: The regeneration process is mature. After thermal regeneration and other treatments, it can be recycled 3-4 times. The recovery rate of iodine value after regeneration reaches more than 86%, and the loss of activated carbon is less than 6%, which significantly reduces the comprehensive use cost and conforms to the concept of energy conservation and environmental protection.

Long service life: Under normal working conditions, the service life can reach 2-5 years, without frequent replacement, reducing the number of equipment shutdowns for maintenance, improving production efficiency, and is especially suitable for treatment systems that operate continuously for a long time.

Wide adaptability: Products with different particle sizes and different adsorption properties can be customized according to different industries and different treatment needs, adapting to various scenarios such as water treatment, waste gas treatment, and solvent recovery, with strong versatility.

Environmentally friendly and no residue: It is non-toxic, tasteless, and has no secondary pollution. After adsorption saturation, it can be recycled through regeneration. Waste products that cannot be regenerated can be used as fuel to recover heat, realizing resource recycling and meeting the requirements of national ecological civilization construction.

      7、Matters needing attention

      • Before filling and using the product, it is necessary to remove surface dust (it can be rinsed with clean water and then dried, or directly air-dried in a ventilated area) to prevent dust from entering the processing equipment and affecting the equipment operation and processing effect.

        • During filling, it should be spread evenly to avoid local over-density or over-looseness, ensuring that the treated medium is in full contact with the activated carbon to improve adsorption efficiency; when filling granular activated carbon, avoid vertical dropping to prevent breakage.

During use, regularly check the adsorption effect. When adsorption is saturated (such as effluent water quality not meeting standards, waste gas emissions exceeding standards, or adsorption capacity decreasing), promptly perform regeneration treatment or replace with new carbon to avoid affecting the treatment effect.

Regeneration treatment must be operated by professionals using compliant processes such as thermal regeneration. During the regeneration process, strictly control the temperature and oxygen content (the oxygen content at the outlet of the regeneration furnace should be ≤ 1%) to prevent activated carbon from burning and ensure regeneration safety and effect.

Wear protective equipment such as gloves and masks during operation to avoid inhaling dust. If it accidentally comes into contact with the skin, rinse with clean water. It has no toxic or harmful effects.

Waste activated carbon is a type of general industrial solid waste, which can be recycled for regeneration. Those that cannot be regenerated can be used as fuel to recover heat. It is strictly prohibited to discard it at will to avoid resource waste and environmental pollution.
