    Boron trifluoride, an inorganic compound, is a colorless gas, soluble in cold water, concentrated sulfuric acid and most organic solvents. Boron trifluoride (BF3) is a colorless and pungent gas at room temperature, can not burn, can not help combustion, 1.3 times heavier than air, mixed with wet air to produce white smoke, its purity is higher than 99.6%. Boron trifluoride corrodes glass at room temperature, but wet boron trifluoride is highly corrosive.
