2-Butoxyethanol (CAS:111-76-2, molecular formula C₆H₁₄O₃), commonly called Butyl Cellosolve, is produced via ethoxylation reaction of ethylene oxide and n-butanol followed by continuous precision rectification and impurity removal. Finished product is clear, colorless transparent liquid with mild characteristic ether odor, freely miscible with water, alcohols, ketones, esters and hydrocarbon solvents, owning excellent dissolving power for oil, resin, grease and polymer raw materials as well as moderate boiling point and outstanding coalescing capacity. Our industrial specification reaches ≥99.0% purity, with strictly controlled moisture, free alcohol and acidity indexes after multi-stage distillation refining. Water-based Coatings & Latex Paint Industry (Major Consumption Field)
Core high-boiling coalescing agent for waterborne acrylic paint, architectural latex coating and water-based industrial finish. It reduces the minimum film-forming temperature of latex resin, promotes complete continuous film formation without crack, pinhole or shrinkage defect under low construction temperature; meanwhile adjusts paint construction viscosity and improves leveling property of finished coating, effectively preventing whitening during film drying.
Industrial & Household Heavy-duty Cleaning Agent Manufacturing
Key raw material for metal degreaser, glass cleaner, automobile engine cleaning fluid and circuit board industrial detergent. Its dual hydrophilic-hydrophobic molecular structure dissolves mineral grease, wax dirt, resin residue and oily pollutants efficiently, widely applied in electroplating pretreatment, hardware surface cleaning and daily heavy oil stain cleaner production.
Printing Ink & Water-based Adhesive Production
Slow-evaporation functional solvent for water-based gravure ink, flexo ink and water-soluble composite adhesive. Prevent direct sunlight exposure and rain soaking. Valid shelf life is 12 months under qualified sealed storage condition.
