Antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and anticancer activity
This compound has antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and anticancer properties. It can induce apoptosis in triple-negative breast cancer cells through ROS generation and p38 MAPK/JNK activation. It also inhibits deoxynorepinephrine-induced CASMC proliferation and shows protective effects on Alzheimer’s disease model cells. In 2024, related patents disclosed its use in making drugs for treating atopic dermatitis. Experiments showed that its topical application on the skin was more effective than dexamethasone cream and had no side effects on body weight. The formulations include creams and sprays [1-2]. Storage conditions are 2-8°C.
