Core Characteristics: 

1. Physical Properties
At standard temperature and pressure, it is a colorless, transparent liquid that is highly volatile and lighter than water; it is a commonly used polar solvent.
2. Chemical Properties
(1) Flammable and Prone to Oxidation
Methanol is highly flammable; upon complete combustion, it produces carbon dioxide and water.
(2) High Reactivity
The hydroxyl group in the molecule can undergo various reactions, such as esterification, substitution, and carbonylation. Industrially, it is used to synthesize a wide range of chemical products, including acetic acid, methylamine, and methyl chloride, and serves as a core raw material in C1 chemistry.

(4) Thermal Decomposition
Under high-temperature conditions, methanol undergoes methanolysis, decomposing into carbon monoxide and hydrogen. The use of a catalyst can significantly lower the reaction initiation temperature, making it one of the common routes for industrial hydrogen production.
3. Major Applications
(1) Chemical Synthesis
This is methanol’s primary application. It is used to produce formaldehyde, acetic acid, dimethyl ether, methyl tert-butyl ether, and other products, and is widely used in industries such as engineered wood panels, coatings, and synthetic fibers.
(2) Clean Fuel Applications
It can be used directly as boiler fuel, blended with gasoline to produce methanol-blended gasoline for automotive applications, or used as a feedstock for fuel cells. Compared to traditional fossil fuels, it can significantly reduce carbon emissions from exhaust gases.
(3) Industrial Solvent Applications
Thanks to its excellent miscibility, it is used as a solvent in industries such as coatings, inks, adhesives, and electronic cleaning, where it can efficiently dissolve substances such as resins, oils, and dyes.
(4) Other Specific Applications
It can serve as an external carbon source in wastewater treatment to enhance denitrification efficiency, be formulated into automotive antifreeze and airport runway de-icing fluids, and be used in the synthesis of fine chemicals such as pharmaceuticals, pesticides, and fragrances.

The product strictly complies with the GB/T 2961-2014 national standard, accompanied by a complete set of MSDS, commodity inspection reports, and hazardous packaging certificates, and meets EU REACH import and export requirements. Standard packaging includes 200 kg galvanized closed-top steel drums and 1,000 L IBC containers. For large volumes, bulk transport via tank containers is available. Storing and transporting the product in a sealed, light-protected environment effectively delays oxidation and discoloration. Supply is stable and ample, supporting full-container and consolidated shipments for international trade, and meeting global chemical procurement and custom fine chemical production needs.
